  • Gather the ingredients and shred or break up the cheese
  • Simmer 1 cup milk & 3/4 cup water in large pot
  • Warm a large pan on low heat, add butter and allow to melt
  • Add pasta to the pot once the milk/water is simmering
  • Add breadcrumbs to the large pan and toast them on low
  • Put pasta on medium low heat and stir frequently until milk and water mixture is cooked off and soaked up
  • Put pasta on low heat and mix in the American cheese and 1 tsp Dijon mustard and stir until fully melted and combined
  • Put pasta on low heat and mix in the American and Sharp Cheddar cheese and until fully melted and combined
  • Continue to stir until fully melted
  • Add the Dijon mustard and stir to incorporate
  • OK looking pretty good
  • Remove breadcrumbs from heat once toasted and
  • Measure the Parmesan cheese into a small dish
  • Toss the toasted breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese
  • Plate the Mac n cheese in a bowl or small dish
